On 30 March YouTube posted on Twitter that they will do some experiments for our content creator.
👍👎 In response to creator feedback around well-being and targeted dislike campaigns, we're testing a few new designs that don't show the public dislike count. If you're part of this small experiment, you might spot one of these designs in the coming weeks (example below!). pic.twitter.com/aemrIcnrbx

Why did YouTube remove the video dislike count?
YouTube says that change would protect its content creator from abuse and reduce the stress of "dislike attacks" which refer to groups of people purposefully increasing the amount of dislikes videos receive.
YouTube explained: “Earlier this year, we experimented with the dislike button to see whether or not changes could help better protect our creators from harassment, and reduce dislike attacks — where people work to drive up the number of dislikes on a creator’s videos.”
YouTube also said that it has received reports from smaller authors and those who were just getting started on the platform that they were being unfairly targeted by the 'dislike attack'.
